| Shigeko
Hirakawa was born in Kurume, Fukuoka,
Japan in 1953, but since 1983 is living in
France. Art education:
Graduated from Tokyo Joshi University (Japanese
Litterature and History) after studies from 1971
to1975. Studied oil painting 1976 to 1980 at the
Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music.
Sudent at the Ecole Nationale Supérieure des
Beaux-Arts de Paris, in Olivier Debré's atelier
1983 to 1986 as a Scholarship-holder of the
French Governement.
Shigeko Hirakawa work includes a mixture of art
forms including oil painting, sculpture and
installations.
